A few months after the DNA test confirmed his identity, he rang Jennifer Monnheimer – Moriarty’s daughter and his older half-sister. The now 43-years-old Monnheimer was eight and living with her dad in New Mexico when her mom and brother disappeared. Jennifer admitted that she thought they died. She was devastated about it and it made her feel numb. As she was growing up she used to scan crowds searching for her missing relatives. Monnheimer was the one responsible for the picture that appeared on the missing children’s website.
