The Odds of Finding the Boy Were Now Very Slim

Once the cops arrived, Charlotte invented fake names for her and for her son: She called herself Jane Amea, and her son Tenzin Amea. She even gave them a made up a birthday for the boy. When Mark filed in the report about his missing girlfriend and kid, the cops didn’t make any connection. Charlotte was institutionalized in a psychiatric hospital, and the child was now under the state’s care, Mark couldn’t have imagined that his son was in an orphanage so close to his own house. Even worse, when Charlotte was nowhere to be found after she left the hospital, Mark’s odds of finding the boy were now very slim.
