1988 – Goodbye To The Mustache

Here we have a rare sighting of Sam Elliott without his iconic mustache. He kept the long locks but the mustache was surprisingly gone at the Golden Globe Awards of 1988. His wife, Katharine, was with him, in a very ‘80s designer dress. They both look great!

Sam did have the mustache in the movie Shakedown, which was released that year. He played the modern version of a Western cowboy. Specifically, he portrayed a renegade cop trying to tackle a case of corruption within the police force. The movie did well commercially and with the critics.
